Julia Rice proudly joined Jones Law Group in 2024 after spending the majority of her legal
career serving the citizens of the State of Florida as a prosecutor, where she honed her litigation
and trial skills.

Julia was born into a family of lawyers and is a true Pinellas County native, having
graduated from Boca Ciega High School, St. Petersburg Junior College, the University of South
Florida, and Stetson College of Law.

Julia is a skilled and experienced trial attorney who is dedicated to providing JLG clients with attention and compassion, and the best legal representation they can find.

After graduating from Stetson Law in 2003, Julia worked at the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted juvenile delinquency, misdemeanor, and felony cases.

During her last six years at the State Attorney’s Office, Julia was assigned as a special prosecutor to the Consumer Fraud division, where she aggressively prosecuted construction-contracting fraud, identity theft, and complex financial crimes, such as organized schemes to defraud, money laundering, and deed/mortgage fraud.

During these years, Julia was instrumental in putting criminals in prison and obtaining millions of dollars in restitution for victims.

In 2019, Julia was awarded Prosecutor of the Year by the St. Petersburg Elks #1224 for her commitment to prosecuting consumer fraud cases.

Immediately before joining JLG, Julia was a Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor in the Cyber Fraud Enforcement Unit at the Attorney General’s Office, where she focused on fraud committed with cryptocurrencies and the internet. Her time in this unit gave her priceless knowledge about the inner workings of crypto and the difficulty in tracing the currency to the public.

In addition to her time as a prosecutor, Julia served as a Staff Attorney for the Circuit Court judges in Pinellas County, where she worked closely with the judges on pre-trial and post-trial matters.

Her extensive experience and deep roots in the community have earned her the respect of judges and fellow attorneys. As you can see, Julia is very well-qualified and has quite an impressive resume. She is a skilled and experienced trial attorney dedicated to providing JLG clients with attention, compassion, and the best legal representation they can find.

Julia serves her clients by having good listening and communication skills, a deep passion for the law, attention to detail, a creative mind (yes, there is creativity in the practice of law), and unwavering tenacity.

Julia resides in one of the beautiful beach communities in the St. Pete area and has a teenage daughter, a teenage son, and two (crazy!) dogs, Ford and Winston.

In her spare time, she has a passion for volunteer work and spending time outdoors, particularly at the beach collecting shells and boating. Her bucket list gets longer every day as she discovers new missions and adventures!
